From our home in the heart of the Shropshire Hills, we love to encourage the exploration and discovery of our surrounding landscape that is steeped in history, nature, and local culture.
With a café offering locally inspired food and 30 acres of riverside meadows, we invite you to explore within stunning surroundings.
Our exhibition, tracing the Shropshire Hills Through Time from the Condover mammoth onwards, inspires a journey of the area. Our jam-packed event programme consists of large-scale community events as well as courses, workshops and family activities alongside our commitment to our diverse education programme with thousands of school children visiting every year. Take home a memory of your day or a unique gift from the wide variety available in our gift shop.

The Onny Meadows includes an orienteering course which has been used for many events. The British Orienteering website contains an introduction to the sport and an events list.
We are pleased to offer both coarse and fly fishing on our stretch of the River Onny from Kingfisher Corner down to where the river flows under the A49.
Our temporary campsite is open from July 15th until September 17th 2023, and provides a tranquil setting in our hay meadows, with the river Onny right alongside the site.

We have a selection of rooms for hire for group meetings, parties, conferences or get togethers. In our unique setting with ample space, you can escape to the countryside to get more out of your meetings, hold your club gathering here and enjoy the cafe and meadows.
