School Visits
Over 6,000 primary school children a year visit us to learn about the Shropshire Hills, nature, history and food with all sessions integrating fun and learning in to the national curriculum. Please click here to download our Education Brochure.
Our visitor centre offers large rooms, allocated to your class for the day, and a large outdoor space with picnic benches and play equipment, perfect for letting off a little steam at lunchtime.
Our organised activity rates are:
25 children or less – £105 plus VAT
26 – 138 children (or one class, whichever number is larger) – £125 plus VAT
36 – 50 children – £210 plus VAT
51-70 children – £276 plus VAT
Some factors may cause the pricing structure to change a little for your group such as health and safety considerations meaning that group numbers should be more limited. Contact our Education Officer, Stephanie Bellows, to discuss your bespoke session:

SEN Groups
The Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre makes an ideal recreational or educational visit for both children and adults with special learning needs or disabilities.
Self Led Visits
For those groups wishing to lead their own visit, the following activities provide a variety of opportunities for exploring the Secret Hills exhibition and Onny Meadows.
PD Days
