Happy New Year!

We have an exciting year ahead.

We begin the New Year with a new Chair. 

Clare Featherstone is a Shropshire Hills farmer’s daughter, a culture, heritage and tourism consultant and the former Head of Culture, Tourism & Leisure at Shropshire Council.

We are very fortunate to have Clare’s energy, expertise, experience and commitment to steer the Board of Trustees through our exciting future.

That future is positive in no small part due to the work and vision of our retiring Chair, Prof. Charles Edwards (rtd). Charles, deeply involved in local conservation, walking and cycling networks, shaped the charity’s business plan for taking on the Centre from Shropshire Council in 2014 and has seen the Centre achieve so much, including financial sustainability, over the following decade.
